As a local employer ScottishPower has supported a number of local projects. These include:

• Providing Hatfield & Thorne Conservation Forum with funding for printing costs for a study on ‘An inventory of the Invertebrates of Thorne and Hatfield Moors.’
• Supporting the local Primary School with £1,500 of funding for an environmental playground project.
• Providing over £20k of funding to be spent on habitat management and contributing to a university research project on fossil studies.

ScottishPower will continue to support the local community. If this proposal goes ahead a community fund will be set up to benefit the local community.
